Villa Naia, an ecological retreat in Manabí, is built on construction systems that optimize resources, given the remote location; we optimized water and electricity, building a steel structure, lightweight concrete panels with a low thermal and acoustic transmission coefficient, a biodigester, eco-efficient fixtures, cross ventilation, and a rainwater harvesting, recirculation, and treatment system for irrigation, along with landscaping designed to attract pollinators and cool the surroundings, enhancing indoor comfort at every level. Result: The house is a living system.
